Mrs. Earp was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Chesley and Frey Hopper Best. She was a graduate of Conway Schools and attended Coker College. She was a school teacher for several years and a member of Quinby United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her nephew, Dr. Herbert E. (Marian) Ward of Gainesville, FL, and two great nieces, Anna Ogburn and Clair Ogburn (Kris) Pluss, both of Columbia.
Mrs. Earp was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Earp; a sister, Mary Best Ward; and a niece, Sherrie Ward Ogburn.
