Bernard H. Kohlmann, 85, 165 E. Rees Street, died Wednesday, July 20, 1988 at Saint Agnes Hospital.Mr. Kohlman was born June 27, 1905, in St. Cloud to Joseph and Mary Zenner Kohlman. On November 24, 1927, he married Gertrude M. Anders at St. Mary’s Church. He was employed by Fred E. Rueping Leather Company until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, St. Mary’s Holy Name Society, Saint Joseph Society, Fond du Lac Bowling Association and the St. Mary’s Usher Society. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lawrence and his wife Bernice and Donald and his wife Patricia, all of Fond du Lac; a daughter, Mary Volz Richard of Fond du Lac; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, August Kohlman of Dotyville; and a sister Mrs. Catherine Parish of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and a grandson. Funeral services will take place at 12:30 PM Friday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 1 PM at St. Mary’s Church. The Reverend Michael Moran will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 PM until 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial has been established in his name.
