Rosine C. Keebler was born Rosine Caroline Kleiner in Germany. She was the first of five siblings in the Kleiner family to emigrate to America from Germany. She arrived in 1882 and settled in Clare, Mi. along with her siblings. She married Matthew Keebler in 1885 after the death of his first wife. Together they raised their family of seven children in Clare.
Rosine's parents were Johann Conrad Kleiner b. 1830 Germany, d. 1912 Germany and Karoline Katherina Ernst b. 1833 Germany d. 1912 Germany.
