Charley Brock started every Nebraska Cornhuskers' game from 1936 to 1938 and earned All-Big Six Conference honors at center each year. In 1939, he was the number two draft pick of the Green Bay Packers and played center and linebacker for them from 1939 to 1947. He was chosen twice for the Associated Press All-NFL team and was captain of the Packers during his last four seasons. He was named All-Pro center in 1945.
He served as a Green Bay assistant coach under Curly Lambeau in 1949 and coached at St. Norbert College, in DePere, and at Omaha University.
Brock was active in the Packer Alumni Association and was a past president of that organization. He was inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 1972 and the Packer Hall of Fame in 1973.
