Mrs. Rebecca Isabelle Cowser, 82, died at 11:15 o'clock Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lillie Killion, 209 South Exchange. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Killion home. Rev. A. J. Pauler, pastor of the Church of God, will conduct the service. Another service will be held at Americus at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Americus cemetery.

Mrs. Cowser was born August 15, 1850, in Ohio. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hobble and her maiden name was Rebecca Isabelle Hobble. After moving with her parents to Illinois, she was married in 1866 to David M. Cowser. Eleven children were born, four of whom survive. Mr. and Mrs. Cowser came to Kansas in 1891, settling on a farm near Americus. Mr. Cowser is dead.

Mrs. Cowser has been a member of the Church of God for 27 years and was active in religious circles.

She is survived by one son, Jesse Cowser, Emporia; and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Grimmett, Emporia; Mrs. Rosie McMillian [McMillan], Americus, and Mrs. Killion. One brother, three sisters, 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Isabelle Cowser of Emporia was held from the Church of God in Americus Friday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Americus cemetery. Rev. A. J. Pauler, pastor of the Church of God of Emporia, conducted the services.

Mrs. Cowser was born August 15, 1850, in Ohio. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hobble, and her maiden name was Rebecca Isabelle Hobble. After moving with her parents to Illinois she was married in 1866 to David M. Cowser. Eleven children were born to this union, four of who survive. Mr. and Mrs. Cowser came to Kansas in 1891, settling on a farm near Americus. The end came to Mrs. Cowser last Wednesday night. Mr. Cowser died several years ago.

Mr. and Ms. Cowser lived in Americus for many years. After the death of Mr. Cowser, Mrs. Cowser made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Killion, and a few years ago the family moved to Emporia.

Mrs. Cowser is survived by one son, Jesse Cowser, Emporia; and three daughter, Mrs. Mary Grimmett and Mrs. Lillie Killon of Emporia and Mrs. Rosa Grimmett of Americus, One brother, three sisters, 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
