Marie was daughter of James Homer Williams and Bertie Clementine McFalls Williams.She lived in Kentucky,Chicago and other places prior to retiring and moving to Florida. She had two daughters: Betty Gail Hall and Gina Williams. She later married to Coyle "Vernon" Sutton Jr. and they had a daughter Carla. She then married James Dinwiddie and they had one son Bryant. Daughter Gina was adopted by Robert and Jaquie Williams.

Marie elected to be Cremated and her ashes scattered over Lake Michigan at Chicago Il.
