Jessie Glee Jarvis was born on October 19, 1916 in Hext, OK and passed from this life on April 6, 1984 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 18 days.
She moved with her parents, William Sheridian and Prussia Beatrice Hare to Hammon, OK in 1931 where she graduated from high school. On January 3, 1937 she married Willard William Jarvis in Clinton, OK and they lived in Weatherford, OK before moving to Gainsville, TX in 1937. They moved back to Cheyenne in 1944 to make their home. She had been the County Assessor in Roger Mills County for the past 6 years and was a member of the Cheyenne United Methodist Church for 40 years.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Jill McDaniel of Arnett, OK; 1 son, Jay, of El Reno, OK; 2 sisters: Willene Bell, Sayre, OK and Anges Craig of Bend, OR; 7 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Monday, April 9, 1984 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cheyenne United Methodist Church with Rev. William R. Chace and Rev. Garland Spurgin officiating. Interment followed in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, OK.
Pallbearers wer Fred Cordell, Lloyd Martin, Donovan Wesner, Robert Briggs, Connie Fults and K.C. Perryman. Rose chapel Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements
