Mrs. Laura Karth, Widow of Late Rev. F. Karth, Dies

Mrs. Laura Karth, mother of Mrs. G. A. Strassburger, 1726 N. Sixth street, and widow of the late Rev. F. L. Karth. for thirteen years pastor of the Lutheran church at Howards Grove, died at the Strassburger home this morning of heart failure at the age of 68.
Mrs. Karth had been living in Milwaukee with her daughter, Miss Lydia for many years. When her health began to fail rapidly seven weeks ago, she came to Sheboygan to stay at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Strassburger. No relief was obtained, and she sank until her death at 4 a. m. today.
Deceased was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 25, 1856 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Glaser. Her family went to Milwaukee a few years afterward to make their home. When a young woman she met the Rev. F. L. Karth, who was then in charge of a church at Humboldt, Kansas. She married him on August 10, 1877 at Indianapolis, and they resided in Humboldt until November 30, 1886, when the Rev. Mr. Karth accepted a call to the Lutheran church at Howards Grove. They remained at Howards Grove, for thirteen years, and later went to Milwaukee.
The Rev. Mr. Karth died in Milwaukee fourteen years ago, and his remains were interred in the Howards Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Karth is survived by three daughters, Mrs. G; A. Strassburger of this city, Miss Lydia Karth of Milwaukee, Mrs. Paul Hensel, whose husband is pastor of a church at Liberty, Manitowoc county; three sons, Herman Karth at Boyd, Minnesota, Martin Karth of Shawano, and Oscar Karth of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. J. P. Plehn of Toledo, and Mrs. Anna Hering of North Tonawanda, New York; three brothers, the Rev. S. Glaser of Meridan, Connecticut, T. Glaser of Boston, and John Glaser of New York City, and fourteen grandchildren.
Two sons and a daughter, together with her husband preceded Mrs. Karth in death.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the Howards Grove cemetery, were Mrs. Karth's remains will be laid to rest beside her husband.
