Bonnie Marie Holiday
Mrs. Bonnie Marie Holiday of Madera; passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the age of 80. Bonnie was born in Eufaula, OK to William and Leatha Madewell, and a resident of Madera for the past 68 years. Bonnie was the owner and operator of Toys & Teens, in Fresno, and Lad and Lassie in Madera, both childrens clothing stores. She was a charter member of, The Heart of California Quilt Guild, and was featured as the Quilter of the Year in 2002. She was a member of the Fourth Street Church of God in Madera. Bonnie will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Leatha Madewell, her brother Raymon Madewell and her sister Wilma Longcrier. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 65 years Jesse Holiday, her two sons, Jerry Holiday and his wife Elaine, and Jerol Holiday and his wife Bonnie, both of Madera, her daughter Barbara English and her husband Marvin, of Fresno, brothers, Al Madewell of Riverside, and Gene Madewell and his wife Barbara of Chino, sisters, Jane Godfrey and husband Carl, Pauline Webb of Chillicothe, MO, eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel in Madera. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the Fourth Street Church of God in Madera with interment to follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
