Carolyn Lavada Wade Jones, age 64, of San Antonio, beloved wife, mother and
grandmother, departed this life on Sunday, January 11, 2004.
She was born in Stamford, Texas on July 27, 1939, and attended Stamford
public schools. She was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in New
Jersey. For several years, she was a librarian with the Episcopal School of
Dallas.
She also was a volunteer and tutor with several organizations including
Adult Literacy Council of Victoria, Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, and San
Antonio public schools.
She enjoyed her family and friends, her church, traveling reading and books.
She was preceded in death by her parents, B.M. and Ruth Wade; and brother,
Joe A. Wade.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David H. Jones of San Antonio;
son, David D. Jones and wife Staci of The Woodlands; son, Brian L. Jones and
wife Michelle of Somerville, New Jersey; son Timothy A. Jones and wife
Gloria of San Antonio; brother, Donald Wade of Granbury; sister, Bettye
Edwards of Abilene; brother, Fred Wade of Lewisville; sister, Maxie Cannon
of Albuquerque; grandsons, Zachary Jones, Christopher Jones and Brian Jones;
granddaughter, Anne Jones; and step-grandchildren, Adam Drake and Emily
Drake.
