Survivors included his widow; one son, Lee Olan Hinton, Caspar, Wyo; one daughter; his mother Mrs. Beulah Jordan, Gary; one sister, Mrs. Tressie Cozart, Gary; one brother, Staff Sgt Chalmer Hinton, U.S. Air Corps, stationed in England; and four grandchildren. Grandson William Lee Hinton died in 1962. [All named survivors have since passed.]
