Rose Anna Quackenbush
Rose Anna Mathieu Quackenbush, 84, 502 Q St., Bedford, died Tuesday at Westview Manor. She had been ill four years.
She was born Jan. 8, 1903 in Lawrence County, to George Adam and Birdie Ann Harris Mathieu. She married Frank Quackenbush April 23, 1923 in New Albany, and he survives.
She was a homemaker and president of the Council of Girl Scouts of Lawrence county for 15 years. She also was active in the building of Camp Friendly.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James (Anna Mae) Hudson, Bedford and Mrs. Jerry (Rosemary) Correll, Houston, Texas; one sister, May Correll, Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis reed, one son, Frank Quackenbush Jr., and one sister, Georgia Fuller.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Daniel Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday.
Scripture reading will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
