An obituary published in the Shelbyville Democrat on July 14, 1921 for Mrs. Iola Hamilton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Waters of Shelbyville stated that she had died in Dr. Clifford's hospital in Watseka Saturday [July 9, 1921]. Mrs. Hamilton's maiden name was Iola Waters and she was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, November 27, 1893. She was united in marriage to Harve B. Hamilton and to this union one daughter, Dorothy, was born, age 6 at the time of her mother's death. Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton made their home in Chicago. Besides the husband, daughter and parents, she was survived by one brother, Byron Waters of Shelbyville. The funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian Church, Rev. J. Stanley Mitchell, assisted by Rev. E. V. Young, officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
