Ralph G. Shepherd Age 79 of Wilmington, DE passed away Friday, January 4, 2002 in the Brackenville Care Center in Hockessin, DE.
Ralph had worked in the parts department of the Chrysler Corporation in Newark, retiring in 1985 and was a member of the Local #1183 UAW. He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific for 31/2 years. He received 2 Bronze Stars, a Philippine Liberation ribbon with a Bronze Star, a Victory medal and a Good Conduct medal.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Estelle; son, Richard; and brothers, Glenn, Briant, Emory, Oscar, Leslie and Wesley.
The funeral service will be 12 noon Tuesday, January 8 at the JOHN F. YASIK FUNERAL HOME, 607 S. Harrison St. with visitation at 11. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
