RACINE - Patricia A. Jenkins passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, June 01, 2002 at the age of 52.

On May 2, 1950, Mr. Leon and Mrs. Mary L. Huddleston of Marion, Arkansas, were blessed with their second child and first daughter, Patricia Ann "Pat". Pat grew up in Mississippi and was educated in the public schools there, graduating from Tunica High School in Tunica in 1968. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age under the pastorship of Rev. Roy Allen at Oak Grove Baptist Church in nearby Sledge, Mississippi, and remained close to the Lord and a faithful church member throughout her life.

In 1969, Pat enrolled in the University of Wisconsin at Madison. While in Madison, she met and married Edward L. Jenkins Jr. of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They became the proud parents of two children: Nkenge (Kenge) and Edward III. Pat valued education and encouraged others to continue to learn and grow. She earned two degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside: a BS in Accounting in 1981 and an MBA in December 2000. She and Ed taught their children the importance of education: Pat, Ed, Kenge, and Edward III all graduated from one of the University of Wisconsin institutions.

Her professional career included working as an accountant for the Women's Resource Center of Racine, Western Publishing - Racine, Snap-On Tools Corporation - Kenosha, Surgitek - Racine, and as the Director of Purchasing for Racine County. Above all else, Pat was a committed and caring Christian. As a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Pat served as Sunday School teacher and Superintendent, was a member of the Women's Fellowship Committee, the Personnel Committee, and the Trustee Board.

Cherishing her memories are: her devoted and loving husband, Edward Jenkins Jr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Nkenge and Reginald Adams and grandchildren Sabrina and Maxwell, Chicago, Illinois; her son Edward III, Racine; her mother, Mrs. Mary L. Huddleston, Sledge, Mississippi (Pat's father passed away in 1998); her brother Rev. Lloyd and sister-in-law Corrine Huddleston and family, Chicago, Illinois; her sister Rose Mary and brother-in-law Joe Eddie Hawkins and family, Robinsonville, Mississippi; her brother Alvin, Kim, and family, Madison, Wisconsin.
