RUSSELL, WILLIAM A. William A. Russell, age 91, husband of the late Helene Sauermann Russell and resident of Seymour, entered into eternal rest December 31, 2011. He was born August 27, 1920 in Shelton, son of the late William & Edna Robillard Russell. He was a veteran of The U.S. Army Air Corp. in World War II and worked as a foreman for Sabo Auto Body. William was a parishioner of St. Augustine Church in Seymour. He is survived by two sons, William Russell (Karol) of Marrietta, Georgia and Paul Russell (Susan) of Oxford, daughter Diane Popowski of Naugatuck, sister June Rapuano of Seymour and seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley Hannon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 5th at 10:00 a.m. with friends asked to go directly to St. Augustine Church in Seymour. Burial will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour. Friends may call on Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT.
