James Andrew Adkins, 81, of Skyline died Monday, at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in Shelton Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 5 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Adkins is survived by wife, Annie Adkins of Skyline, sons; Benny (Janet) Adkins of Skyline and Steven (Kathy) Adkins of Huntsville, daughters; Mary Jo (Ricky) Saint of Skyline and Susan (Roger) Neeley of Hytop, grandsons; Lane Saint, David Adkins, Daniel Adkins, Benjamin Adkins, Brian Adkins and Samuel Adkins, granddaughters; Katie Manning, Kellie Kelsey and Samantha Saint, 16 great grandchildren, brothers; Raymond Adkins and Frank Adkins of Hollywood and George Adkins of Hamilton, AL, sisters; Opal Daniels of Hollywood, Lorraine McCrackin of Fackler and Betty Faye Adkins of Scottsboro and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, Jimmy Adkins , parents, Jack and Daisy Adkins and brother Billy Jack Adkins.
