James "Jimbo" R. Farison, 68, of Shepherd, died, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, Florida. He was born on, January 2, 1943 in Oil City, son of the late, James E. and Audrey C. (Purtill) Farison Bandurske. Jim attended St. Louis High School, graduating in 1962. He married the former Elizabeth A. Wilcox on April 22, 1967 in Midland.

Jim was employed with the Michigan Department of Transportation as an inspector, retiring in 1997 after 34 years of service. He then when on to work with Wilcox Associates. Jim loved working on cars, going to car shows, hanging out with his Oil City buddies, hunting, fishing and going to Casino's.

Surviving in addition to his wife Liz of 44 years is his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Edward Haskins of Midland; grandchildren, James, Megan and Erica Haskins; brother, Larry D. and Linda Farison of Shepherd; sister, Linda A. and Robert Geeseman of Brooklyn, MI; step-brother, Dan Bandurske and his partner Tim Schnaidt of Beverly Hills, MI. and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents James and Audrey, Jim's step-father Leonard S. Bandurske preceded him in death.

~FUNERAL~
Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Pastor Mark Beers and Pastor Fred Becknell will officiate with burial in Midland Cemetery.
