Candee Services Set Friday
Services for William Horace Candee, real estate broker and income tax consultant in Pasadena and Altadena for 24 years, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Candee, a resident of Altadena for 29 years, died at his home Tuesday.
He came to California at nine from Omaha, Neb., living for a time with his grandparents on their orange orchard in San Diego County.
He graduated from Hollywood High School, attended USC and became an associate with his father who was manager of the Bank of El Cajon and later of the Bank of Huntington Park.
Later, he worked for the Los Angeles County Welfare Bureau and for several years during World War II he was employed by the Internal Revenue Service.
In recent years, Mr. Candee became an oil painter and his works were on exhibit at local banks and savings and loan firms and at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church where he was a member. He also had works in the Altadena and Pasadena art shows.
