Walter Nathan Plum 80, of Denver community, Tunnelton died Wednesday January 4, 2012. He was born March 4, 1931 in Kempton, MD a son of the late Elmer Gay and Nellie Mae (Nestor) Plum. He worked as a Postmaster in Parsons, Forest Ranger at Parsons, owned and operated Plum's Home Improvements in the Washington-Baltimore area, and prior to retiring he was Regional Project Inspector for Farmers Home Administration. He loved being outdoors; hunting, fishing, golf, horseshoes, and NASCAR. Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by: three sons Walter Plum and Carol of Harwood, MD; Robert Allen "Al" Plum of Arthurdale; and Samuel Plum and Michelle of Kingwood; three daughters Wilma "Cissy" LaRue and Richard of Arthurdale; Tracy Furr of Jacksonville, FL; and Lesley Skipper and Brent of Perryville, MD; three brothers John Plum and Pat of Elkins; Jack Plum and Carol of Parsons; and Elmer and Rosalie of St.George; two sisters Elma Jean Paolone and Louis of Girard, OH and Barbara Teets and Glenn of Manassas, VA; eighteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog Snoopy.He was preceded in death by his loving wife Madonna (Chambers) Plum in 2003; two brothers; and two sisters.

Friends will be received at the Morgan Funeral Home, Rt. 7 East Reedsville 2 - 8 pm on Friday January 6, 2012 and 10 until 1:00 pm the time of Funeral services in the funeral home chapel on Saturday January 7, 2012 with Rev. Robert Uphold officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Preston County VFW Honor Guard and the Preston County Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 977, interment to follow at Shaw Cemetery, Denver.
