She taught at two Springfield schools before finding her professional passion--teaching Language Arts and Literature at Washington Middle School. She taught there for ten years and was "The Book Whisperer," excelling and reveling in connecting each student with books he or she liked and could read. She loved her students; they were "her kids."
Her Savior, Jesus Christ, was the love of her life and her greatest joy was to worship Him. Her current church family was Rochester Christian Church. She had been a member and faithful servant in the Children's Ministry of Abundant Faith Christian Center.
