Olene Massey, age 83, of Granbury, Texas, died Friday, February 14, 1997, at the Granbury Care Center.

She was born October 10, 1913 in Elk City, Oklahoma, and was a lifelong resident of the Merritt community near Elk City.

Olene married Elra Clyde Massey on March 27, 1932 in Elk City, and was a housewife.

They moved to Granbury, Texas in 1989 where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Massey died July 10, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean White and a grandson, James R ay Massey.

Mrs. Massey is survived by her son, Clyde Massey of Yukon, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Henrietta "Hank" Stone of Granbury, Texas and Jewel Dawson of Yucca Valley, California, her twin sister, Nannie Orene Gillette of Carlsbad, California; also 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17th, at the Martin Funeral Home in Elk City with Reverend Henry Fletcher officiating.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas.
