Northampton, Nov 18 – Mrs. May (Brainard) Willard, 77, widow of Alfred S. Willard and a resident of the Lathrop home for the past ten years, died late last night in Dickinson Hospital. She was born in New York City on Feb. 5, 1876, daughter of the late James F. and Mary (Andruss) Brainard and had resided in Northampton most of her life. She was a member of Edwards Congregational Church. Surviving is a stepson, Kenneth Willard of Belmont. Funeral will be at the R. D. Newell and Son funeral home Thursday at 2 with an organ prelude at 1:30. Rev. L. Byron Whipple, pastor of Edwards Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Bridge St. Cemetery.
