...Anne M. Baker, age 60, of Marshall, died at her home December 24, 2011.
...Anne was born on March 21, 1951 in Marshall to Donald A. and Mary E. (DeForest) Baker. She grew up in Convis Township, attending Marshall schools. Anne graduated from Marshall High School in 1969. She then attended Michigan State University and graduated from there in 1973 with a Bachelor in Science in Human Ecology and Education.
...After her graduation she started her 30 year career with K Mart Corporation where she was promoted into management. Anne worked from the Resource Center in Troy at the time of her retirement in 2002. Prior to that she had worked for K-Mart in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
...Anne enjoyed crafts of all kinds. She would knit, and crochet. She was an expert cake maker and decorater, and made memorable candy. She loved reading and had enjoyed gardening around her home. While young she was very active in 4-H. She loved animals! When she and her siblings were young a fawn wandered back to the farm with the cows. The family finished raising it and Anne helped with that task.
