Voice "Brown" Bell, Jr., age 67, died Friday, January 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 1, 1944 in Union County to the late Voice Brown Bell, Sr. and Grace Bailey Bell. He was a retired employee of the Mississippi Highway Department, and a self-employed logger. He was a member of the Fredonia Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Keownville Baptist Church with the Rev. Faron Ash and Rev. Jerry Bishop officiating. Burial will be in the Keownville Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Bell of New Albany, a daughter Kay Rakestraw (Johnny) of Wallerville, two sons Richard Chism (Deborah) and Randy Chism (Pat) both of New Albany, a sister Janis Bell Montague of Somerville, TN, a brother Mike Bell (Linda) of Ingomar, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Ronald Chism, a brother Marcus Talmadge Bell, and a brother-in-law Paul Montague.

Pallbearers will be Larry Chism, Ronny Goudy, Jeff Chism, James Perkins, Timmy Cole, and Donald Rodgers.
