Dorothy Robbins Gilpin, 87, of McKinney passed away on Monday, October 17th, 2011 at her home. Dorothy is the daughter of Rubin & Myrtle Oditt Robbins and the widow of William Gilpin.

She will be remembered for working puzzles, word searches, quilting and embroidering. She was a avid UK Basketball Fan and a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.

Dorothy leaves behind her sons Larry (Donna) Gilpin of Lexington, Jerry (Paulette) Gilpin of Eubank, Tony (Jane) Gilpin of Paint Lick, Sam (Teresa) Gilpin of Waynesburg, Kenneth Paul (Tonya) Gilpin of McKinney, William Gilpin of Florida, Audie Miracle of Stanford; daughters Nyoka (Fredy Humphrey) Naylor of Eubank, Linda (Rod Doss) Yantz of Stanford, Shelby (Eugene) Thornton of Stanford, Anita (Pat) Gifford of Kings Mountain, Shirley (JD) Absher of Hustonville, Mary (James) Adams of Stanford; special daughter-in-law Rebecca Gilpin; brother James Robbins of Dayton; sister Arzella Griffin of Lima, Ohio; 34 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Billy, Edward, Joseph Lynn Gilpin, and a daughter Lou Ferguson.

Services for Dorothy will be held on her 88th birthday, 10 AM, Thursday, October 20th, 2011 at Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Yocum officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM, Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 at Fox Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Robert Moore, Hunter Gilpin, Kevin Moore, Johnny Naylor, Troy Gifford and Timmy Carrier. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
