The November 3, 1919 edition of the Daily Record [Greensboro NC] included: Bascom Jackson Victim of Typhoid Pneumonia- Bascom Jackson, 19, formerly a resident of this city, died in a hospital at Newport News, Va., October 28, after an illness of five weeks with typhoid-pneumonia. The funeral service was held at Norfolk, Wednesday and interment was in Forest Lawn cemetery, Norfolk. In addition to his father and mother, the deceased is survived by three sisters, Mrs. W. C. Atkinson and Miss Carrie Jackson, both of Norfolk, and Miss Nancy Jackson of Greensboro, and four brothers, D. L. Jackson of Richmond, James Jackson of Victoria, Va., John Jackson of Norfolk, and Pate Jackson of Greensboro. Mr. Jackson had many friends in Greensboro.
