MRS. ELMER ROWE DIES; RITES HERE SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Mrs. Elmer Rowe, 44, a resident of the Holyoke community for 37 years, died Friday afternoon at a hospital in Sterling where she had been a patient more than a month. She had been in poor health for several months.
Funeral services wee conducted at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Holyoke First Church of Christ, with Rev. Donald Hurley, pastor of that church, officiating. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. The Lewis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
As Leota Rebecca Balderson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Balderson, Mrs. Rowe was born at Cortland, Nebraska on February 24, 1909. The family moved to this community in 1917, when she was 8 years of age. On February 16, 1928 she was united in marriage with Elmer Rowe. They made their home on a ranch in the Cement district southeast of Holyoke.
Surviving Mrs. Rowe are her husband; a daughter, Patsy Rowe; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Balderson of Holyoke; one brother, Ernest Balderson, Wray; and two sisters, Mrs. Ben Ehrlich, Fleming, and Mrs. Jess Kettley, Holyoke. She was preceded in death by two small children.
