Joseph Schulte Passes at Strome

Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father McCarthy officaiting (sic) for Joseph Ferdinand Schulte, a long time resident of the Strome district, who passed away on November 5th, at the age of 80 years.

He was born in Minnesota in 1888 and came to Alberta in 1905, and homesteaded south of Strome in the St. Peter district.

He was married to Annie Blaeser on June 5, 1917, and in 1963 he retired from farming and moved to Killam. After spending 14 years in Killam he moved back to Strome.

He is survived by his loving wife, two sons and four daughters, 35 grandchildren and also one foster son.

Pallbearers were all nephews of the deceased. Fee's Funeral Home of Killam were in charge of arrangements. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Floral tributes from: loving wife, the family, Sister Rosa, Blaeser family. Many memorials and spiritual offerings were also received.
