He was a retired carpenter. He was a son of the late George
W. and Jane Taylor Spencer. His wife, the late Maude Davis,
died several years ago. He Is survived by four daughters,
Mrs. Edna M. Caple, Florida; Mrs. Oneta M. Davis and Mrs.
Hazal B. Warner, Baltimore;
Mrs. Helen I. Abbott, Reisterstown; four sons ,Irvin S.
Finksburg; Marlln L., Owings Mills;
George W., Finksburg; Hershel O., Baltimore; a brother, Benjamin Spencer, Finksburg; four
sisters, Mrs. Lola Davis, Baltimore; Mrs. Grace Heede,
Mrs. Margie Schollian, Mrs. Blanche Rupp, all of Finksburg;
25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral
services were held at the Tipton Ellne funeral home, Hampstead. Burial was in Wesley
cemetery, near Hampstead. The Rev. Donald R. Davis officiated.
