He attended Hollis Public Schools and at an early age started working for Oscar Bryant. He was always a hard worker and learned to drive a tractor at the age of 12. He worked as the Superintendent of Line Operation for Rural Electric Cooperative for 31 years. Clement worked at the Hollis Car Care where he helped his daughter run the business for several years. In 2002 he started working for Harmon Memorial Hospital as the maintenance supervisor where he was employed at the time of his death.
His passion as a volunteer firefighter for the Hollis Fire Department was well known. He retired after 20 years of faithful service. He was a member of the American Legion and the First Baptist Church in Hollis.
Dale married Deanne Bell Dec 25, 1981 in Hollis. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years Deanne, nine children, Judy Murphy and Richard of Washington, DC; Joe Dale Clement of Oklahoma City; Alice Manney and David of Altus; Hazel Elder and Don of Luther; Tammie Wallace and Steve of Aline; Donna Hudspeth and W J of Hollis; Major T J Clement and Crystal of Austin, Texas; Tammy Crenshaw and Larry of Oklahoma City; Dennis Myers and Angie of Broken Arrow; 25 grandchildren, ll great-grandchildren and many cousins and friends.
Dale Clement was preceded in death by his parents, C T and Oneida Clement and infant sister and one grandson Kyle Wallace.
Funeral services at the First Baptist Church in Hollis with Rev James Densman and Rev David Manney officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
