Glenn Owen Roush Sr., 76, of Gilpin Township, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, in Life Care Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Kelly Station, Bethel Township, a daughter of the late Roy Edgar and Oma Fay Boyd Roush. Glenn was employed as an independent heavy machine operator and mechanic. He also worked on barges. He was of the Lutheran faith. Glenn enjoyed sitting and watching the deer and birds and would say, "Have to go feed God's little creatures." He also enjoyed watching the Steelers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son; grandson, Ryan Waldenville; two brothers, Calvin Walter and Donald Edgar Roush; and two sisters, Virginia Roush and Doris Faye Roush Ewing. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Martha (Stegner) Roush, of Gilpin Township; two daughters, Louise (Jack) Dyess Jr., of Gilpin Township, and Gloria (Charles) Roush, of Gilpin Township; a son, Glenn (Sara) Roush Jr., of Gilpin Township; a brother, Stanley Roush, of Vandergrift; two sisters, Meda Belle (John) McKally and Carol Lee (Kenneth) Faulx, of Ford City; five grandchildren, Kristie Dombroski, Kegan (Kaitlin) Dombroski, Jo-Anne Verner, Raymond Verner and Aiden Ritter; and two great-grandchildren, Landon and Connor Dombroski. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at the Forks Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church in Gilpin Township, Leechburg, with the Rev. Kevin Anderson officiating.
