Funeral services for Msgt. Gerald A. Rhodes, 71, of North Richland Hills, Tx are at 9am, Wednesday February 8, 2012, at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington Va.

Gerald Rhodes passed away January 05, 2012.

Gerald A. Rhodes was born February 29, 1940, in Kenilworth NJ to Albert H. Rhodes,and Ruth Laura Smith. He was raised in Kenilworth where he attended school. Gerald went into the military where he faithfully served for over 21+ years in the USAF. Where he traveled the world and did the most amazing things in the name of the military, where he was exposed to one of the worse battles in U.S history the Vietnam war as well as he became an Agent Orange survivor. He was in the Congo where he was shot in the side of the face while on a mission. He was able to return fire & continue driving his vehicle until reaching a safe zone.

He is survived by his daughters, Sheri Rhodes- Johnson of Arlington; Ruth Rhodes of Dallas, Angelia Rhodes of Florida; grandchildren Jason Johnson, Sierra Morford,Tyler Rhodes Smith.

Visitation will be between the hours of 1-5pm on the 5th at the Rosehill funeral home/chapel located at 7301 E Lancaster Ave Fort Worth TX 76112

Gerald A Rhodes will be flown to Arlington Va on the 6th to the Gawler funeral home Washington DC.
