The remains of Albert Sawyer, of Cedar Rapids, IA., a former well known resident of this town and village, were brought to Honey Creek for interment. The funeral was held from the home of Prentice Warmington, in the west end Monday afternoon. Rev. Ralph Mayo, of Honey Creek, officiating. The pallbearers were Andrew Everett, Joseph V. Summers, William E. Hoyt, Henry Russell, Edwin Morse and Sumner Vaughn. Deceased was born in New York state in 1836 and came to Wisconsin when a young man locating on a farm in this township. He was married to Miss Buck in 1866 who died in 1884. After leaving the farm he located in this village residing here for a number of years. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. C. H. Darner, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one brother, Alonzo Sawyer, of Blue River, Wis. also a sister living at Fairbanks, Iowa. Those from a distance in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Darner, Burnette Trost, Cedar Rapids. Iowa; Dr. Sherman Lewis, Milwaukee, and Eugene Sawyer, Racine.
