He married Jeanette in 1963 and they had two children, Connie and Ervin. They lived on his Mom and Dad's ranch in Rapelje for thirty years and then moved to Absarokee and finally Roscoe.
Everyone who knew him knew he loved his cows. He was a farmer through and through and especially looked forward to calving, irrigating, haying and shipping the big calves in the fall.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Connie; his dad; older brother Gary; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette; son Ervin of Rapelje; mother Florence of Kennewick, Wash.; brother Ron (Linda) of Wyoming; two sisters Carol (Jack) Stewart and Dawn (Dale) West of Kennewick; aunt and uncle Tookie and Lawrence Gee; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Smith Funeral Chapel-Columbus.
Memorial services will be held at the Rapelje High School Gymnasium 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12. Inurnment will be in Rapelje Cemetery.
