After her parents passed away in 1912 and 1914 she, her oldest sister and her 2 older brothers went to live with their Grandparents the De Martini's on the family ranch that was at that time about 750 acres and located in the foothills of the Sierras. Her oldest brother went off to serve in WWI and returned to the ranch when it was over. Her Grandparents passed away in 1920 and 1921 and the siblings stayed close together. Her oldest brother Capt. and her sister Aggie lived in Esmeralda and she and Boss, her brother, stayed between the ranch and Esmeralda so that she could finish High School. In the mid 20's she moved into Stockton and worked at JH Eagle Auto Center where she met her future husband, Nicholas Friesen Wiebe, a first generation Russian American. They married on New Years Day 1927. This marriage would bring six children to the world and last until Nick passed away on December 30, 1963. Their first child Maxine passed away when only five months old. They moved back to the ranch where they lived and where their five children would be born and raised.

Two of their sons still remain on the ranch and are well into their 60's. One son lives in Alaska with his wife as he has for 50+ years. Another son and spouse, and daughter and her spouse live in Oregon where Rose moved to be close to them until her passing in 1988.

This was a wonderful human being, a Wife and Mother and a great friend to all that knew her. A hard working lady who lived to be with her children and love life.

She was my Mother-In-Law and I loved her with all of my heart.
