John Charles Fitzgerald son of Thomas Francis Fitzgerald and Lillian Sarah Fogg was born 28 February 1911 in Amesbury MA. The family lived at 2 Union Court when he was born.

John was in the army stationed at Millnocket, ME in the 1930s and was a cook. After his discharge from the army he moved to Lowell MA and cooked at Ye Old Colonial Kitchen in Lowell. He married Lillian Jean Gendreau 13 April 1936 at St. Louis Church in Lowell MA and their reception was at the restaurant where he cooked. He was living at 35 7th Ave. when they were married.

John soon decided that being a cook was not for him and found work at Heinz Electric tool makers in Lowell. In about 1941 the company sent him to Buffalo, NY to their plant there. Heinz Electric became The Redmond Company and he was again transferred to Michigan, where the family lived first in Owosso and then St. John's. In about 1950 John was transfered to Little Rock AK to help open a new plant where he was a supervisor. The family moved back to Lowell when the Company reorganized. He worked a while for General Electric and then the Manning Tobacco Company as a salesman.

After two heart attacks, John died 9 May 1955 in Lowell MA. The family was living at 399 Walker St. John was buried at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford MA.
