Frank Louis Kunze, 91, passed away at home on May 29, 2002. Frank was born on January 31, 1911 in Creedmoor, Texas, graduated from Buda High School, and came to Corpus Christi, Texas around 1934.

He was a Seabee in the Navy in World War II where he learned to be a watch repairman, a hobby he practiced all of his life. He worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Chemical Division in the Instrument Department for 38 years until retirement. He was an avid gardener and especially loved to share his cucumbers and tomatoes with friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Mabel Payton Kunze.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Spencer Kunze; sisters, Alice Ludwig and Frances Barclay, both of Austin, Texas and brothers, Louis Kunze and Arthur Kunze of Canyon Lake, Texas. Frank is survived by his five daughters: Mrs. Justin (Julia) Doerle, Mrs. Dick (Betty) Teel, Jr., Mrs. Jack (Beverly) Randall, all of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Buddy (Peggy) Levy of Tampa, Florida, and Mrs. Gary (Susan) Campbell of Corpus Christi, Texas. His two stepdaughters also survive him: Mrs. David (Diana) Cheek of Corpus Christi; Mrs. Wayne (Lynda) Marshbank of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive him.
