Mary M. Stevens was born on January 20th 1887 at Doniphan, Nebr., and departed this life at her home in Gordon on May 22nd, 1940 at the age of 53 years, 4 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to Albert A. Currey on September 2nd, 1906. To this union was born five childrer, three of whom have preceeded her in death namely, Alberta, Devilla and Mrs.
Beulah H. Snyder.
Mr. and Mrs. Currey have lived in and around Gordon for the past twelve years. In earlier years she attended the Methodist Sunday School.
Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, Albert A. Currey, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm.Stevens of Blackearth, Wisc.; two children both of Gordon, Mrs.Marie Rice and Albert G. Currey: one sister, Mrs. George Walters of Blackearth, Wisc.; and one broth-er, Artie Stevens of Burton, Nebr.
Funeral services were held on May 25 at the Church of God with Rev. Germany in charge. Interment was made at the Gordon Cemetery.
