Nook was 81, a resident of West Renovo. He died at the Bucktail Medical Center, South Renovo. He was a son of the late Lewis R. and Lottie (Engler) Croak. He is survived by his wife, the former Gloria J. Ohnmeiss. Nook retired after 27 years from the Piper Aircraft Corp., Lock Haven. He was a member of the Christian Community Church, South Renovo, and a life member of B.P.O.E. No. 334, Renovo. He is survived by three sons, Stanley (Lisa) Croak of Conyers, Georgia, Lewis Croak III of Charleston, South Carolina, and Kevin (Crystal) Croak of Renovo; a daughter, Cindy (Jon) Kingsley of Lancaster; mother-in-law, Marian Ohnmeiss of Muncy; two grandsons, Andrew Croak and Jeffrey Croak; three granddaughters, Jennifer Lemire, Carly Croak and, the youngest, Kaylee Croak, the "apple" of her grandfather's eye; and a special young family friend, Amber Krape, whose visits he always enjoyed. Nook is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the Christian Community Church of South Renovo. Officiation will be Pastor Rusty Blessard, his pastor. Visitation will be following the services during a luncheon at the Citizens Hose Company, South Renovo. Interment will be held at the at the convenience of the family in North Bend Cemetery, North Bend.
