AMOS, Wanda L., 90, of Pine Grove, W.Va. died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born April 8, 1921 in Pine Grove, W.Va., daughter of the late Tom and Trixie Wykert Fankhouser.

She was a homemaker; a nurse's aide during WWII; loved quilting; member of the Pine Grove Garden Club; and was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Amos; brother, Delbert Fankhouser and sisters, Myrtle Rose Davis and Ota Staley.

Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Kay (Ed) Jones of Dover, Delaware and Jan (Amberry) Brown of Brentwood, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Kelly (Michael) Hayes, Jeremy (Amy) Brown and Amanda (Jason) Canos; six great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Jonathan Hayes, Holland and Morgan Brown and Mackenzie and Sophie Canos; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Williams Funeral Home, 226 N SR 20, Pine Grove, WV, where funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 with Greg Morris officiating.

Interment in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, W.Va.
