He raised his family in Cerritos, California with his wife Diane Marie Backus(Long)until 1996 when he moved to Pollock Pines, California.
Wes was a member of the ABC School District and had the distinct opportunity of handing each of his children their diplomas at their graduation ceremonies.
He also was a member of the Optimist Club and Kiwanis Club in Cerritos.
