In 1979 I transcribed: Here lies Martin Smith Died March 14t 1817 AE 51 Yrs - J. Kelsey Jones. The t and rs were smaller letters and above the line of the other letters. The face of this slate marker has since disintegrated. The marker is in the same row and to the right of Elizabeth wife of John Smith. John Smith is to Elizabeth's left.
