Emma Frances Baker Schaefer Hill Gabriel
Widowed twice and divorced once.

Photo: Emma & 3rd husband "Gabe" (George Wayne Gabriel).

Emma's mother (Ella Norman Baker) died when Emma was a baby. Emma loved her step-mother (Julia Parker Baker) who treated Emma as if she were her "own" baby.

Special Education school teacher in Santa Barbara. "Teacher of the Year."

Eighty-three-year-old Emma lost her home and barely escaped with her life in the June 27th 1990, "Painted Cave Fire" shortly after the death of her beloved husband "Gabe." She moved into a Vandenberg Village apartment, and when more aged, moved in with Norma and Vic Paulson. After Norma died, Emma moved into a rest home.

Emma "Nana" loved T.V. evangelists such as Billy Graham and also Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.
She died at Villa Maria Care Center, Santa Maria, California. Hours before her death "Nana" received a beautiful flower arrangement sent lovingly by her great and great-great-grandchildren, Toby, Amy, Sterling, Arianna, Arissa, Aubriele, and Brinton of Ohio.
