The following information was provided by Jim Forcum
Noble is the son of Napoleon Bonaparte Weaver & Ellenora Almeda Flannigan. After his parents died, Noble and his sister Roxey, born 1887, were sent to live with their Maternal aunt, Anna Flannigan, & her husband, Elijah Alsop, in Cave Township, Franklin County, Illinois. On June 18, 1900, they lived at 3 N. Main Street. Also in the household was Noble’s grandmother, Almedia (Goodwin) Flannigan, age 73. In 1916, Noble and his wife Goldie, boarded at 104 Peck Bldg. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Noble's occupation was ‘Linemen.’ Noble registered for the World War I draft on May 29, 1917. He worked for the Quaker Oats Company, in Fort Dodge, Webster County, Iowa. His draft records describe him as “tall in height, medium build, brown eyes, dark hair and not bald.” During World War I he served as a Sgt, in Co. D, 346th Regiment, 87th Division of Infantry. By January 28, 1920 Noble and Goldie lived at 1201 Church Street, Frankfort Heights, Franklin County, Illinois. They had no children and Noble’'s occupation was listed as ‘coal miner,’ which was his occupation at the time of his death.
