EAST PEORIA - Carolyn J. Booth, 90, of East Peoria died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

She was born July 30, 1921, in Rankin, Ill., to Harley O. and Vada B. Coplea Todd. She married Hubert W. Booth on March 11, 1939, in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1988 in East Peoria.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Gary "Bud" Booth and one daughter, Judy Dollar.

Carolyn is survived by three daughters, Pat Kerr of Rome, Ill., Bonnie (Harold) Kroll of Wilmer, Ala., and Carol Sue Forrer of East Peoria. Also surviving is one sister, Abby Heppe of Springfield, Ill.

She retired from International Paper in Peoria after several years of work.

She was a kind, gentle woman, always doing things for others. She loved spending time with her family.

Cremation will be accorded. There will be a 2 p.m. graveside service Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Fondulac Cemetery. Pastor John King will officiate.

Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South Side Mission.
