Clarence C. Gabeline, 76, 1418 Madison, died Thursday, December 31 (1970), at the Mercy unit of Memorial hospital following a brief illness.
He was born May 1, 1894, at Mt. Union, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gabeline. He married Evelyn Catlow who died in 1954. On November 21, 1957, he married Eldora Buchanan in Mt. Pleasant.
Gabeline was a retired John Blaul employee. Recently he worked as a toll taker on MacArthur bridge. He was a member of the Eagles, Moose, and the Faith Presbyterian church.
Surviving: The wife; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Virginia Pemberton, Burlington; two stepsons, Robert Buchanan, Ellensburg, Washington, Carl Buchanan, Burlington; one brother Everett, Mt. Union, one sister, Mrs. Hazel Lauer, Lexington, Missouri; five step-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, 2 p.m. Sheagren funeral home, Reverend Theodore Mansen; Trinity cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to the American Heart Association.
