Funeral for Everett L. Gabeline. 89, who died at Mt. Pleasant Tuesday, January 9, will be 2 p.m. Saturday. Elliott Chapel in New London, Reverend Joseph Ricks; Trinity cemetery.
He was the son of George and Violetta Ziegler Gabeline, he was born October 2, 1889, at Mt. Union, where he married Grace Buchanan November 19, 1913: she died February 11, 1970.
A retired farmer, he was a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist church and Kaaba Shrine of Davenport, and was a 50-year member of the Masonic order and the OES.
Surviving: Son, Donald, Mt. Union; three daughters, Florence Taylor, Beloit, Wisconsin, Frances Tate, Billings. Montana, and Elda Deffer, Denver, Colorado; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Masonic service, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Elliott Chapel, where a Heart Fund Memorial has been established.
