Amber Renae Santine Spencer, 20, of Kewanee was pronounced dead at 2 pm Saturday, November 9, 2002 along with her fiance, Mark Heinrich, in their Kewanee home. They were to be married May 17, 2003. She was born July 4, 1982, in Peoria to Steven A. and Brenda L. Sargent Spencer.

Surviving are her father and stepmother, Steven and Debbie Spencer of LaFayette; her mother and stepfather, Brenda and Rodney Peterson of Toulon; one sister, Rachelle Spencer of Toulon; one half sister, Holly Conlin of Peoria; one half brother, Jason Conlin of Peoria; her grandparents, Santine Spencer of Princeville and James Sargent of Speer; and her great-grandmother, Lenore Feldman of Bartonville.

A 2001 graduate of Stark County High School, she was studying nursing at Black Hawk College East Campus at the time of her death. While in high school, she worked at Toulon Health Care Center, and at the time of her death was employed at the Kewanee Wal-Mart Supercenter.
She was a member of the Kewanee YMCA. She attended LaFayette United Methodist Church.
