John Collins born May 1826, in Killenaule Tipperary Ireland. He was the son of an Irish Immigrant who was born in the late 1700's and a mother who was born in Illinois in the early 1800's....(she was part Indian as to what can be found for her) John Collins Applications for Enrollment of the Commission to the Five Civilized Tribes, tells me he may have been part American Indian.
He Married Mary A. Whitney. she was his 2nd wife... name of first wife was aslo Mary ,last name unknown
John was a Volunteer Enlistment on the 15 days of August in the Civil War. from 1862 to 1865 at the age of 36.
His 2nd wife was Mary and John married in 1878. She passed in 1907. the 1900 census states that she had 12 children, only 3 living at the time of the 1900 census
John Collins died in 1904, at the age of 75.

Daughters; Louise Trusly, age 49. Mattie Haskins, age 45. granddaughter; Stella Rhodes, 25 (only child of deceased daughter Lucy Rhodes), Emma Rollins, 40. son; Merideth Mozer, 38. The 1900 census states Mary had 12 children only three living but her Will made out in 1906 list 4. side note; William Collins and grandson Clyde Collins are not named in Mary Trusty's will.
